Reality TV: Reinvent this Band

Have a reality TV show based on Rescuing the Church. They're not going to sell themselves out, but they're going to give online audience a chance to participate in their new marketing direction (i.e., their name, image, etc)?

Reality TV / Direct Connect

Is there a way to increase interest by filming/documenting the creation a the next album... starting sometime in the near future. Is this interesting enough to get on On networks or something? Or is it something more like 'run kilbey's web cam an hour a day for a fee to subscribers'?

It might be interesting/educational for people in fledgling bands to tune in and see how these guys work.

What about having outsiders get to participate in some way? Contribute tracks (i.e., a single guitar track), lyrics? The bad part about this idea is that it dilutes the church with wannabe band members. But what if the Church could delegate certain decisions about songs to certain select panel members...it would be the first 'listener-produced' album. Maybe that novel aspect alone would get the band and/or next album some recognition.

Workshops

Can Kilbey and/or others in the band do the songwriter workshop, mentoring or band camp thing, like photographers do?

Find New Avenues of Promotion

Find alternate ways to market to people. So what if the Church has great music, people are not being introduced to it. Should they try to flood all channels (social media, push email, etc)? Or is having a presence on all social sites just a bare minimum now? In other words, this will be an expense, but will not add much if anything to the bottom line.

Increase Adoptability

Do a singles-oriented album. Isn't it time to put out just one album of pared-down, easy to digest singles-type songs? Lower the barriers to adoption. If I could re-produce several of their songs, I think I could make them much more new-listener friendly. This isn't selling out. It's just creating a certain percentage of songs which will be useful for bringing in new listeners.

Rebrand the Band

Should the band rebrand itself? I know they are able to 'mine' their existing fanbase, but is it time to reinvent? The old fans can be brought over, and hopefully new ones can be added.
